Child Protection Refresher

Course Description

This course is delivered via MS Teams by an experienced professional who will look at the up-to-date information used within the sector to refresh your understanding of safeguarding and  child protection issues, legislation, policies, procedures, and best practises for your role and how you work with children and young people.

We’ll explore the "Getting it Right for Every Child" framework, a powerful tool for implementing preventative measures and safeguarding children before concerns arise.

Look at the importance of chronologies in safeguarding children. Learn how to create and maintain accurate records that capture a child's history, including any "significant events" that may require intervention.

Discuss tools and resources specifically designed to support your work with children and keep them safe.

We'll revisit and solidify the steps you should take if you have any concerns about a child's safety. This will empower you to respond promptly and appropriately, ensuring the child receives the necessary support.
