Effective Communication with Children
Course Description
In this course we discuss ‘what is effective communication’ and look at the ways children communicate and how adults can work in the best way to meet the child’s needs.
This course will help you to enhance your understanding of communication as we look at the various barriers, for example behaviour, environment, backgrounds, culture, identity, and individual support needs which can affect communication.
We will consider the adult’s role and how their communications skills can impact on children and others.
