Effective Communication

Course Description

This interactive 1-hour workshop features 5 engaging activities and discussions to help you navigate communication with children, colleagues, and families.

During the workshop practitioners will develop an awareness of how personal behaviours and expectations can influence communication as well as create boundaries and how these can be reduced. We also reflect on the importance of understanding that behaviour is a method of communication and how this can be used to support learning. We will look at the roles of both the sender and receiver of messages, highlighting the impact of verbal and non-verbal communication in information sharing.

The workshop is both engaging and thought-provoking enabling practitioners to review and assess their own practice as an individual as well as part of a team.
