Reflecting on the Health and Social Care Standards
Course Description
The course provides an overview of the Health and Social Care Standards and looks at the 5 principles of Dignity and Respect; Compassion; Inclusion; Responsive Care & Support; and Wellbeing. These are discussed as to how they work together with the 5 Standards to deliver best practice in Early Learning and Childcare services.
It is important to use personal reflection for the principles and standards and to see where standards are being met and where any changes or improvements may be needed to ensure the Health and Social Care standards and other best practice documents are achieved.
By looking at the Quality Indicator Framework Document, the key questions and other best practice guidance documents to see how and where these link holistically to be used to meet the H&SC Standards and principles within work roles and setting to inform best childhood practice.
The course content will develop the knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards ‘My Support My Life” Document, looking at personal practice and how the standards are implemented into ways of working to meet best practice guidance.
